last weekend we went to the SEA Aquarium in Sentosa with our friends. it was mine and JP's first time to go there. we wouldn't have gone if not for discounted tickets courtesy of our friend D. i'd been to underwater world several times, a couple of years ago, so i think this attraction is just the same as that.
you get into the maritime museum before actually getting into the aquarium.
there's an exhibit of asian maritime history, some displays from various countries that singapore traded with in the olden days. like people from the middle east.
i read that you can actually go to the typhoon theatre (for an additional fee) to experience what it's like sailing on one of those ancient ships. the theatre was closed when we went there.
on to the aquarium. for kids, this will be a fascinating place to visit. lots and lots of sea creatures.
beautiful translucent jelly fish..
creepy giant crabs..
and a lot of scary sharks, who seem to be separated from the rest of the fish at the main aquarium.
apparently, this is listed in the guiness book of world records as the largest aquarium in the world. and it IS large. look at that viewing deck.
i think if you're stressed out, you can just go here and stare at those fish swimming around. that should be relaxing, even hypnotic. haha.
i would recommend visiting the aquarium with your kids, and maybe first time visitors to singapore. it's one of those things you should see at least once. as for jp and i, maybe we'll visit next year.
